Delete Your Data

You can delete your Conferbot account and personal data at any time.

This page explains how to request deletion of your Conferbot account and the personal data associated with it, what happens after you request it, and how to reach us if you cannot sign in.

If you can sign in

The fastest route is from inside your Conferbot account:

  1. Sign in at app.conferbot.com.
  2. Open Profile, then Privacy.
  3. Choose Delete my account and confirm.

If you signed up with an email and password, you will be asked for your password to confirm. If you signed up with Google or Facebook, no password is needed.

If you cannot sign in

If you have lost access to your account, or you signed in through Facebook or Google and can no longer reach that account, email us and we will process the request manually.

Send a message to [email protected] from the email address on the account, with the subject "Data deletion request". Tell us the email address or workspace the request relates to. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before we delete anything, so that nobody can delete someone else's data.

What happens next

Deletion is not instant, on purpose. It is scheduled so that an accidental or malicious request can be undone:

  • Your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days from the date of the request.
  • We email you to confirm the request and the scheduled date.
  • You can cancel at any point during those 30 days by signing in and choosing Cancel deletion, or by emailing [email protected].
  • After 30 days, the account and its personal data are removed.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes the personal data we hold about you, including:

  • Your profile: name, email address, profile picture and account settings.
  • Your workspaces, chatbots and their flows and content.
  • Conversations and contacts captured by your chatbots.
  • Login sessions, connected sign-in providers and security settings.

What we may keep

A small amount of data may be kept after deletion where the law requires it or where it no longer identifies you:

  • Billing and invoice records, which tax and accounting law requires us to retain for a set period.
  • Records needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our terms.
  • Aggregated or anonymised statistics that cannot be linked back to you.

Your other data rights

Deletion is one of several rights you have over your data. You can also request a copy of your data, correct information that is wrong, or object to certain processing. Sign in and open Profile, then Privacy, to export your data, or email [email protected] and we will help.

Deleting data linked to Facebook or Google sign-in

If you created your Conferbot account by signing in with Facebook or Google, that provider shared your name, email address and profile picture with us so we could create your account. Removing Conferbot from your Facebook or Google account settings stops any further sharing, but it does not by itself delete the data we already hold. To delete that, use one of the two routes above.
