See Your Website as a Chatbot
Type your address. In seconds you are chatting with an AI assistant that learned from your own pages - and every answer shows the page it came from. Free, no signup.
What you just saw
The preview reads a handful of your public pages - usually the home, about, pricing and contact pages - and hands them to an AI model with one firm rule: answer only from these pages, and say so when they do not cover the question. That rule is what separates a useful website chatbot from a liability. A general model will happily invent a refund window or a price; this one points to the page it used, or tells the visitor to contact you.
Try the questions your customers actually send - opening hours, delivery, pricing, "do you work with". Where it says it does not know, you have found a gap in your website itself, which is useful on its own.
From preview to a bot on your site
- It reads everything, not five pages. The full bot reads your whole site, PDFs and documents you upload, and answers you type in, building a knowledge base you can review and edit.
- It hands off to people. When a visitor asks for a human, or the bot is unsure, the conversation moves to your team inbox with the full history.
- It captures the lead. Name, email and what they wanted, sent to your inbox or CRM.
- It looks like your site. Colours, logo and greeting are picked up automatically and editable in the widget designer style you prefer.

Why it sometimes cannot read a site
The preview fetches pages the way a search engine does. It cannot get past logins, it will not touch private or internal addresses, it follows your robots.txt, and some sites render every word with JavaScript or block automated visitors outright. If yours is one of them the error says which. The full builder can still learn from documents you upload or a description you type, so a hard-to-read site never blocks you. And because an assistant that only quotes your pages is far less likely to hallucinate, the clearer your pages, the better its answers.
Frequently asked questions
How does the website chatbot preview work?
You type your website address and our servers read a handful of your public pages - home, about, pricing, contact and similar - the same way a search engine would. An AI assistant then answers questions using only what those pages say, and shows which page each answer came from. Nothing is published and no bot is created until you choose to build one.
Is this website chatbot preview free?
Yes, and there is no signup or email gate. Because it reads your site and runs an AI model on our servers, each preview allows 12 questions and each visitor can start a few previews an hour. When you want a bot that keeps learning and lives on your site, building it is free too, with no credit card.
Why did the assistant say it does not know?
Because the answer is not on the pages it read, and it is told never to guess. The preview reads only a few key pages, so details that live deeper in your site - a specific product, a policy page, a help article - may be missing. A full bot reads your whole site, your files and anything you type in, so those gaps close.
Which websites can it read?
Any public website that serves its text in HTML. It cannot read pages behind a login, private or internal addresses, or sites that build every word with JavaScript after the page loads. It respects robots.txt when picking pages. If yours is not readable, the message tells you why, and the full builder can learn from uploaded documents instead.
What happens to the pages it reads?
The text is kept only to answer your questions in this preview and is deleted automatically two hours later. It is not used to train any model, not shared, and not linked to an account. If you build the real bot, it reads your site again, inside your own workspace, where you control what it knows.
How is this different from adding ChatGPT to my website?
A general chatbot answers from everything it absorbed in training, which is how it ends up inventing prices or policies. This assistant answers only from your own pages and cites them, and says so when it does not know. The full Conferbot bot adds handoff to your team, lead capture and analytics on top.
